Weather or not....

Last night we had a reminder-moment courtesy of Ma Nature of the vagaries of Midwestern weather in June. It reminded us that sometimes Kansas isn't the only state to throw the RAAMsters a bit of anxiety when in open country while traveling in unfamiliar territory.

Fortunately, even though the tornado sirens were activated and the wind blew REALLY hard, and the rain didn't fall...it was DUMPED, well, everything turned out OK with just very minor damage and a bit of low-water bridge flooding.

Last years weather in Kansas pretty much sucked, pardon the language, and did we hear the stories!! We had a little adventure ourselves for the first time, and our webdude, Jim Glickert, wrote about it on our webpage.
Hopefully the bad stuff is gone long enough for the race to have a happy passage through the Lake of the Ozarks, starting June 22.
